July 16, 2010 — The Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP) receives weekly updates on the number of radio/TV stations and newspapers that carry their positive messages. By tracking their public service announcements (PSA) and advertorials, they were able to judge how effective each story was.
This year the Foundation has four TV spots that will be released; Jerry Rice, Gen. Halstead, Backpack Safety and a positive chiropractic PSA. While it is too early to track the Gen. Halstead spot (just released) and the backpack safety spot is being produced in August — we are very happy to report the numbers on our Jerry Rice TV spot released earlier this year.
• Jerry Rice (60 Second): This spot was released on March 17, 2010 and as of June 30, 2010 this release had been broadcast 128 times in 32 different states with an audience of 152, 551,607. View Here
In addition to the national TV spots, the Foundation also places print stories in newspapers nationwide. These efforts result in what is called “free media,” which reaches millions of potential consumers. In 2010, the Foundation is slated to release five of these news stories; Obesity, Migraines, Rice (HOF), Backpack Safety, and TBD. To this date three of the stories have been created and released, their numbers are below:
