July 31, 2018 – In advance of National Drug-Free Management Awareness Month in September, the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP), along with a number of its Group Member State Associations, will place national billboards communicating the value of the safe, effective and drug-free chiropractic pain management approach to the general public. A first for the positive press campaign, the billboards will appear in Orlando, Fla., Los Angeles, Calif., Des Moines, Iowa., Detroit, Mich., Nashville, Tenn. and Austin, Texas.

“With an average of 115 people a day dying from an opioid-related overdose in the U.S., the Foundation’s messaging must be innovative, effective and capable of reaching individuals across all ages and socioeconomic statuses,” shares Sherry McAllister, DC, executive vice president, F4CP, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness about the value of chiropractic care. “September provides the profession with a unique opportunity to raise heightened awareness about the dangers of prescription and over-the-counter pain medications, while reinforcing that non-pharmacologic options, such as chiropractic care, are available to safely manage acute, subacute and chronic low back and neck pain.”
Each billboard will deliver the message, “Back Pain? See Your Chiropractor.” The call-to-action will direct individuals to visit www.yes2chiropractic.org, which links to the F4CP’s national Find-A-Doctor Directory. All 20,000+ doctor members of the F4CP receive a listing in this Directory, having their practice and contact information display when a patient searches for a local doctor of chiropractic.
The first billboard will be live in Orlando, Fla., August 6 – September 2, 2018. Those who attend the Florida Chiropractic Association’s The National will be able to view the billboard on SR528 when they leave The Hyatt Regency and head toward Orlando International Airport. The remaining five billboards will go live in their respective locations during September 3 – 30, 2018.
Kent S. Greenawalt, chairman, F4CP, states, “With the potential to reach nearly 8 million consumers, billboard advertising will help the Foundation’s strategic marketing campaign soar to new heights. I am confident that this level of exposure will provoke a new perspective about safe, effective and drug-free chiropractic care among key markets, including consumers driving in pain.”
