Eric Pearce brings chiropractic to youth Pan-American Confederation of Baseball Tournament

Chiropractic Economics February 24, 2010

February 24, 2010 — Eric Pearce, DC, assistant professor at Parker College of Chiropractic, traveled to Portoviejo, Ecuador to provide chiropractic care during the Youth Pan-American Confederation of Baseball Tournament.

Three Parker student interns, Jan Truong, Jennifer Torres, and Aaron Williams, accompanied Pearce.

Pearce and the interns provided treatment for eight participating countries during the tournament. Ernesto Polit, president of the baseball federation in Ecuador, was grateful to Parker for serving during the entire tournament, which lasted approximately nine days.

“The opportunity to bring chiropractic care to young athletes that otherwise would never have received it was extremely gratifying for me and the interns,” said Pearce.

Pearce is also a certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner. He graduated from Parker College in 2000. Before coming back to Parker as assistant professor, he ran his own practice for five years.

For the past two years Parker College has assisted in bringing chiropractic care to the Youth Pan-American Confederation of Baseball Tournament and similar tournaments held in Venezuela, Mexico, and Honduras.
