New Jersey, December 11, 2008 – Dr. Eric Nelson, D.C., a 10-year South New Jersey chiropractor and the current president of the Association of New Jersey Chiropractors Sports Council, has been named a referral partner by the Healthcare Business Division of ACOM Solutions Inc. as it seeks to expand sales of its chiropractic software throughout New Jersey and beyond, it was announced today by Division Vice President Gregory T. Church.
Initial response has been extremely positive, Dr. Nelson said. “RAPID is easy to learn and use, and most doctors are looking to improve their practices. They are particularly interested in better, faster, more efficient ways to record their notes, document their treatments and accelerate reimbursements from third party payers.”
A graduate of the University of Florida and of Life College of Chiropractic, Atlanta, Dr. Nelson established Nelson Chiropractic and Pilates Center in Atco six years ago following four years practicing in a nearby community. He has been a daily user of ACOM’s RAPID EMR clinical notes and documentation software system for more than two years, he said, adding that it has been invaluable in streamlining his diagnostic, note-taking and reporting processes.
“My experience with RAPID has been so positive that I wanted to carry the word to peers both in the Sports Council and the larger New Jersey chiropractic community,” he said. “It fits into my practice perfectly and allows me to recapture time from non-clinical work and reassign it to patient care where it belongs. RAPID reports are excellent; they are customizable so they don’t look canned, and I generate them on the spot whenever I need them.”
The Sports Council, to which Dr. Nelson has devoted the past three years as president, is an organization of chiropractors who specialize in sports medicine and associated treatments. In his time in office, he has presided over significant growth in the organization, increasing membership from a core of 25 members to a current roster of more than 100. He instituted member education workshops as well as an outreach program of public service messages and public education activities and he also spearheaded the affiliation of the Council with the 1,500 member Association of New Jersey Chiropractors (ANJC).
