EON Systems celebrates 24th anniversary

Chiropractic Economics Staff August 16, 2012

August 16, 2012 — EHR software developer, EON Systems Inc., celebrates its 24th anniversary this month with milestones of achievement in its chiropractic software.

With an eventful year in the chiropractic and healthcare industry, EON received complete ambulatory EHR certification through Infogard for The Digital Office version 5.0 and amended its billing module to meet the new HIPAA 5010 requirements. On top of that, it partnered with Demandforce to provide social media marketing capability and extended its range of expert notes available for healthcare practitioners.

Dr. Perry Camissa, president of B-Strong4Life and the owner of Ultimate Chirocare, received his first EHR incentive payment using The Digital Office certified software. He noticed the benefits to his practice to be, “note time is dramatically reduced, and everything from billing to X-rays can be documented.” He also reported that the best feature for him was that the software can recreate a patient visit note in seconds.

523277-ehr-software-developer-eonDr. Yves Pelchat, who runs a technologically cutting edge chiropractic office on Florida’s east coast, stated that through EON’s software,” being able to share information such as diagnostic studies with appropriate members of our team has been extremely useful.” He went on to say, “I have been doing electronic billing for well over 10 years and this has probably been the easiest platform in which to perform billing. For those considering moving to an EHR system, I recommend that you do not waste any additional time. Get in while you can still get the incentives. This was not my motivation but it certainly has been nice icing on our cake.”

In celebration of its anniversary, EON Systems has just announced a new series of note templates for its remarkable, fully customizable, SOAP note and narrative software, Documentor, which were created with the help of practicing physical, occupational and speech therapists at Easter Seals that deal both with adult and pediatric patients. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these notes will be donated to the Easter Seals’ Central PA charity.

EON Systems provides software for chiropractors, physical therapists, acupuncturists, naturopaths, multi-disciplinary practices and now occupational therapists and speech therapists. It follows the premise, in the words of its founder and CEO, Derek Greenwood.

“Software is there to make it easier for the practitioner and his staff to get more done,” says Greenwood. “That translates into being able to get home at night with the notes and billing done, and according to some practitioners, more time to enjoy life and golf!”

The Digital Office is a complete integrated package consisting of three major components that can be purchased separately as an office or clinic grows. They are: The Practice Solution: billing, scheduling, practice management, and digital sign-in; Documentor: a fully customizable SOAP note, eval and narrative writer; and Document Solution: providing document storage and management along with document exchange.

The Digital Office version 5.0, a complete EHR, is 2011/12 compliant and has been certified by an ONC-ATCB in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services or guarantee the receipt of incentive payments. The Digital Office version 5.0, ONC certification # IG-2658-11-0137, was certified on Oct. 25, 2011.
