D’Youville College has named Jeffrey S. Ware, DC, executive director of its chiropractic program. He had been serving as interim executive director since January.
He joined the D’Youville chiropractic faculty as an assistant professor of clinical sciences in 2013 teaching clinical diagnosis and was clinical compliance coordinator for the college chiropractic clinics.
Previously, he was dean of chiropractic affairs and director of professional development at Logan University (previously Logan College of Chiropractic) in Chesterfield, Missouri. He also maintained a private practice.
“Based on the many accomplishments for which Dr. Ware was responsible for during his brief tenure as Interim Executive Director, I am certain his leadership in the Chiropractic Department will be very successful for the growth of the program,” said Arup K. Sen, PhD, vice president for academic affairs in announcing his appointment.
Ware will be responsible for planning, budgeting, curriculum, academic policies, student needs, and faculty issues.
A graduate of Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania, he earned a bachelor of science degree in human biology and a master’s degree in nutrition and human performance at Logan University in St. Louis. Ware received his doctor of chiropractic from Logan College of Chiropractic.
D’Youville introduced its seven-year chiropractic program in 2004 and was the second college in the nation to have such a program in a four-year multidisciplinary college. Currently, 80 students are enrolled.
D’Youville’s program features an on-campus Chiropractic Health Center clinic and a Chiropractic Health Center clinic at 2900 Main Street in Buffalo.
Ware’s appointment was effective August 1, 2015.
