September 22, 2012 — Charles Sawyer, DC, senior vice president at Northwestern Health Sciences University, was named to the list of 100 Influential Health Care Leaders by Minnesota Physician Publishing.
He was recognized for his work in developing relationships with other healthcare organizations, and through the Center for Healthcare Innovation and Policy, which was created by Northwestern to inform and influence public policy in the areas of natural and integrative healthcare, service delivery, and public health.
Sawyer joins an impressive group of leaders and providers from hospitals, clinics, and health systems across the state of Minnesota, as well as important public policy figures including Representative Jim Abeler, DC, a Northwestern graduate and member of the Minnesota Legislature.
“I was delighted to be included because of the opportunity to bring more exposure to the university and our importance in the health care community,” said Sawyer. “The quality of our academic programs and clinical services, the important research being conducted here and partnerships we have developed throughout the community demonstrate our commitment to improving the lives of the patients we serve.”
The list, compiled once every four years, was published in the August 2012 print edition and those acknowledged are nominated by their colleagues and peers.
