December 15, 2012 — These days, it’s nearly impossible to turn on a cable news channel or to pick up a major newspaper without quickly seeing and/or hearing multiple references to the looming “fiscal cliff” — and the perils the nation faces if Congress and the White House do not reach an agreement of some type by Jan. 1.
