Many Sherman College supporters have asked how they can help Sherman students. Now, more than ever, assistance is vital to show our students we are responsive to their most crucial needs in this unprecedented era. Aimed at supporting students facing financial difficulties during this time, Sherman College has launched the Sherman Pride Student Emergency Fund.
“We have no instructions for how to maneuver as a society, community and Sherman family right now,” said Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Public Relations Ohmar Land, DM. “However, we do have the ability to take care of one another. We do have guidance, fortitude and inspiration to encourage and propel our students to success. We take care of family.”
Supporting the Sherman Pride Student Emergency Fund shows our students that the Sherman College family will remain strong and rise up when help is needed. Whether their concerns are food, unexpected utility bills, child care needs, clinic supplies or essential school supplies, your gift will provide students with emergency aid to ease their financial burdens and uncertainty. Here’s how it will work:
· Funds will be made available as donations are received
· Students must apply with specific needs for fund consideration
· The scholarship committee will make fund award decisions based on funds available
· $500 limit per approved student
· No obligation of repayment
· Granted once per academic year as long as funds are available
If you are able and inspired to give, please visit here. All donations received will be immediately available to students in need.
