May 18, 2011 — Doctors of Chiropractic at the San Diego Center for Health (SDCH) have been selected for the fifth consecutive year as the official sports medicine providers to more than 50 of the world’s top celebrity golfers.
The tournament includes host and NFL Pro Bowl quarterback Drew Brees, who will be participating in the 2011 Cox Celebrity Championship, May 19-22, 2011 at the Morgan Run Resort, Rancho Santa Fe, Calif. The annual event will help to benefit the Brees Dream Foundation and other local charities.
“Year after year, our team is welcomed with open arms and appreciation,” said Dr. Rumel Llantada, Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician for the San Diego Center for Health, and sports medicine director of the celebrity championship. “It’s exceptional to see this tradition hold and be able to continue to provide preventive and recovery care to all participating celebrity athletes.”
In recent years, the San Diego Center for Health has called for the integration of four leading individuals who have completed their clinical internship requirements with the Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles. The collaborative chiropractic team consistently provides a high level of care, which ensures the well being and safety of the celebrity athletes during the four day tournament.
Dave Miller, president of Integrated Sports Marketing which manages the Cox Celebrity Championship, praises the chiropractic team, “Dr. Llantada provides quality care to me as well as the celebrity and amateur golfers at our tournament.
