This trend has continued this year among our survey participants and we have seen additional growth. Chiropractic has been seen as a viable option to fight the opioid epidemic, and we have seen ample research to back up its effectiveness.

Research Results Low-back pain is the most frequently reported musculoskeletal complaint among the senior population, and it’s one of the primary reasons why older adults tend to experience more falls as they age. There is a clear relationship between low-back pain (LBP) and an increase in both falls and fear of falling. One way you can help combat this is by conducting an annual balance assessment on older patients and then providing them with appropriate action steps to improve their balance. Good posture is the interdependence of form and function and, to a surprising degree, an external expression of the state of body and mind.

Improvement in incomes and an increasingly favorable environment suggest there are grounds to be optimistic about the future. The results of this year’s survey were consistent with several trends that have held true for the past few years. Multidisciplinary and integrated practices are achieving new levels of success, and increased salaries and reimbursement rates have followed. Chiropractors who have been in the industry longer are earning the larger paychecks that come with more experience, showing that hard work and dedication do pay off.
