January 23, 2013 — Cardiovascular disease is still one of the leading causes of death in the U.S., and even though it is perceived as a man’s disease, more women than men have died from cardiovascular disease each year since 1984.
February is National Heart Month and seeks to draw attention to heart disease, treatment, and prevention. The American Heart Association also seeks to draw attention to women’s cardiovascular health with its annual Go Red for Women Day on Feb. 1 this year. Thousands of individuals and companies are raising awareness about heart disease by wearing red on this day.
”Heart health is important to all of us, and that’s why Carlson has such a variety of heart products,” said Carilyn Anderson, president of Carlson Laboratories. “Our annual heart month sale is our way of supporting the American Heart Association and National Heart Month. It’s important to highlight the benefit of making lifestyle changes for the prevention of cardiovascular disease, including incorporating supplements into your daily routine.”
The Carlson Laboratories product line includes innovative cardiovascular formulas, including B-vitamins that help to improve the blood chemistry, essential minerals that help to maintain heart health, and the highest quality Norwegian fish oils to help promote and support cardiovascular health.
