Event Website: californiajam.org/learn
Hosted by: Dr.
Bill DeMoss, Founder
Location: Costa
Mesa, California (approximately 45 miles southeast of Los Angeles)
Time of Year: January
or February
Length of Event: 3
days (Friday through Sunday)
Attendance
Information: California Jam, which is frequently shortened to Cal Jam, is attended
by hundreds of doctors of chiropractic (DCs), chiropractic assistants (CAs), their
office staff, and chiropractic students, as well as “general public” attendees
intent on learning more about natural health and wellness.
Ticket price for the event depends on whether you’re a DC,
CA, student, or general public. The earlier you secure your spot, the cheaper
the cost. Additionally, if you wish to attend some of the “extra” events at Cal
Jam—such as the Gala dinner or Saturday night party—it will cost more.
Types of Topics
Covered: Cal Jam provides attendees access to TED-style talks covering the
latest in chiropractic research and successful practice management strategies
with live rock n’ roll entertainment in between. Because the venue is a
one-room event hall, all attendees attend all sessions together and at the same
time.
Past Speakers: Approximately
two dozen experts in healthcare and business speak at each California Jam
event. Some of these past experts have included:
- Josh Axe, DC, DNM, CNS
- Joseph Mercola, DO
- Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
- David Wolfe, founder of TheBestDayEver.com
- Billy DeMoss, DC
- Brad Glowaki, DC
CE Availability: Attendees
can pay more to earn continuing education (CE) credits during California Jam, with
options ranging from 2 to 18 hours.
Not all CEs are accepted by all boards, so check the Cal Jam
website to see if your individual state or jurisdiction will honor the CEs offered.
Vendors: Exhibitors at Cal Jam come from various industries, offering products and services related to chiropractic education and training, electronic health records, billing and payment software, nutritional products, and more.
Additional
Information: There is a California Jam app that can be downloaded approximately
two weeks before the event to instantly access the complete schedule.
If you’d like to see all of the Cal Jam speakers and
workshops of years past (plus original content), monthly and annual memberships
are also available via the Cal Jam Network.
