Appearing at the 14th International Congress of Bioenergetic Medicine held November 3 – 6, 2011 in Orlando, Florida, the HCG Diet Expert, Beth Golden, PhD, ND continued her 2011 speaking engagements by presenting a 90-minute presentation specifically focused on the HCG Diet and its effect on Type II Diabetes, Insulin Resistance and Emotional Eating. Covering not only the history and current industry standards of the HCG Diet as it relates to these conditions, Beth also discussed her clinical experience and how industry Health Care Professionals can be better informed and prepared to coach their patients to successful weight loss through the HCG Diet.
“As Health Care Professionals concerned about our patients’ health, we must take into consideration how obesity is the root cause of many illnesses and the value of the HCG Diet combined with lifestyle changes.” Beth states.
The HCG Diet dates back to the 1950s when British endocrinologist Dr. ATW Simeons began researching the use of hCG to help people lose abnormal fat. Knowing that hCG positively affects the hypothalamus gland, which is responsible for regulating the body’s ability to store and release fat, Simeons hypothesized that people who could not lose weight or who stored abnormal fat potentially had a problem with the function of the hypothalamus gland or the association with it regulating abnormal fat. After years of research with hCG combined with a diet of specific foods, he successfully created the HCG Diet Plan to help people lose extraordinary amounts of abnormal fat in a relatively short period of time.
While Dr. Simeons’ focus was on the use of hCG through injections, today hCG can be found as either a prescription or a homeopathic and is administered through injections, hCG drops, pills, lozenges, sprays and/or topically through hCG creams. As reported by Mehmet Oz, MD on the Dr. Oz Show in February 2011, the HCG Diet is helping reduce obesity, Type II Diabetes and Insulin Resistance at extraordinary rates, as well as offering a successful weight loss program for many unsuccessful life-long dieters. Statistics also indicate the HCG Diet is working quite well for many Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig and Nutri-System drop-outs.
