June 3, 2008 — ACOM’s Healthcare Business Division has established a HIPAA-compliant medical billing service staffed with coding professionals holding multiple certifications, by Division Vice President Gregory T. Church announced.
Open to practitioners in all sectors of the healthcare field, the new service is located at the Healthcare Business Division’s headquarters in Jacksonville, Fla. It uses ACOM’s RAPID EPM practice management system as its automated billing engine and the Quantum Health Automation Inc. clearing house for electronic claims submissions. The service maintains a disaster recovery back-up capability at a sister office for enhanced security of doctors’ records.
