ACA welcomes latest addition to its affinity partner program

Chiropractic Economics Staff September 18, 2012

September 18, 2012 — The American Chiropractic Association (ACA) announced its most recent affinity partnership today with Mighty Oak Technology. Created in 1999, Mighty Oak Technology serves small and mid-sized clinics in specialized health IT and speech recognition solutions for documentation.

Mighty Oak has been integrating its speech recognition software into the electronic health record (EHR) process for more than 10 years, and is dedicated to saving users money in transcription fees thru its documentation model. Mighty Oak’s Chart Talk speech recognition software allows users to verbally document patient encounters — a key feature that can often reduce the amount of time and money spent documenting.

In addition to the software’s user friendly interface, DCs who purchase Mighty Oak’s Chart Talk system have access to hands on support and on-site training for staff and DCs during the implementation process.

When asked about joining the affinity program, Mighty Oak President Judith Barnes was thrilled about what this means for Mighty Oak’s future. “Our goal is to provide DCs with reliable and efficient documentation software,” said Barnes. “This partnership is a great step toward our mission of incorporating speech recognition into daily workflow, and maximizing software interoperability.”

ACA President Keith Overland, DC, also commented on the news adding, “ACA’s partnership with Mighty Oak Technology offers ACA members a great resource that can help a practice transition in to EHR. Mighty Oak’s dedication to helping more DCs accurately attest for meaningful use is something ACA and the profession appreciates greatly.”
