May 20, 2011 — The American Chiropractic Association’s Military and Veterans Affairs Committee Chairman William Morgan, DC, has been appointed to the United States Navy’s Musculoskeletal Continuum of Care Advisory Board (MCCAB). As a member of the advisory board, he will serve as the sole chiropractic representative to MCCAB, BUMED and the U.S. Navy.
The board was created to address the large numbers of musculoskeletal injuries sustained by armed services personnel during current military operations. Dr. Morgan also serves on the spine subcommittee.
Other healthcare professionals on the committee include orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, physical medicine and rehabilitation physicians and physical therapists. The committee will author new algorithms of care for musculoskeletal and spinal conditions and help to determine the future of musculoskeletal management in the military. Congratulations, Dr. Morgan!
