A letter from the editor

Gloria Hall May 19, 2026

letter from the editor
Gloria N. Hall | Editor-in-Chief

After 72 remarkable years, this issue of Chiropractic Economics will be our last.

Writing those words is both heartbreaking and humbling. For seven decades, Chiropractic Economics has been more than ink and paper; it has been a trusted voice, a gathering place and a living record of the ideas, people and moments that helped shape the chiropractic profession. To have played what’s even a small part in stewarding that legacy has been the greatest honor of my professional life.

To our readers:

Thank you for showing up year after year with curiosity, passion and trust. You welcomed us into your homes, practices, classrooms and communities. You challenged us when we missed the mark and championed us when we got it right. Every letter, subscription renewal, email and conversation reminded us why this work mattered.

To our authors and contributors:

You were and always will be the soul of Chiropractic Economics. You brought insight, courage, humor and hard-earned wisdom to our pages. You took risks, pushed boundaries and cared deeply about advancing the profession through thoughtful, practical storytelling. Our reputation and authority were built on your bylines, and our impact was shaped by your voices.

"How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard." -- A.A. Milne

To our Editorial Advisory Committee, including Rob Berman, Christine Foss, DC, Cindy Howard, DC, Joe Kryszak, Crystal Misenheimer, Mark Sanna, DC, Aaron Shanks, Robert Silverman, DC, and Kathy (KMC) Weidner:

Your collective insight, strategic guidance and commitment to excellence played a vital role in the quality of this magazine. Thank you for helping me deliver relevant, forward-thinking and educational content that helped advance the profession and inform our readership.

To our advertisers and partners:

Thank you for believing in our mission and for sustaining this publication through decades of change. Your support allowed us to invest in top-quality journalism, bold ideas and enduring relationships.

"What we have once enjoyed we can never lose; all that we love deeply becomes a part of us." --Helen KellerAnd to our sales and publishing team, including Elizabeth Blacker, Ben Bodkin, Jillian Carlson, Janice Long, Tyler Mikson, Allison Payne, John Slater and Belinda Stewart:

There are no words adequate enough to describe your dedication. You poured your creativity, intellect and hearts into every issue, often behind the scenes and always with integrity. This 72-year run stands as proof of your skills, talent and resilience.

I hope you enjoy this last issue of Chiropractic Economics, which explores wellness’s evolution from multiple angles, beginning with our feature story and carrying through clinical science, practice management and the business of chiropractic itself.

Though Chiropractic Economics is closing its doors, the stories we told and the connections we made endure. Thank you for being part of this journey. Once part of this magazine’s community, always part of its family.

To your continued health, prosperity and success.
