OPTP introduces low- and mid-back support for healthy sitting

Chiropractic Economics Staff February 6, 2014

240_Thoracic_Lumbar_Chair_pr-imageFebruary 6, 2014 — With so much of the population spending extended hours sitting, there is a distinct need for a support that addresses the entire back. OPTP recently announced the new Thoracic Lumbar Back Support with a unique upside-down “T” design that offers low- and mid-back support for healthy sitting posture.

While the Thoracic Lumbar Back Support’s horizontal lumbar cushion bolsters a healthy lumbar lordosis, the vertical thoracic cushion runs up the spine to support and align the thoracic spine. The proper alignment of the thoracic spine encourages a neutral shoulder position, which also opens up the chest, and promotes an ideal cervical curve.

By supporting a correct sitting posture, the Thoracic Lumbar Back Support can help relieve and prevent the back pain, tension headaches, fatigue, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions that often accompany poor sitting posture.

The Thoracic Lumbar Back Support features high-quality supportive foam, a removable, washable Polartec cover and an adjustable strap that’s easily attached to most seats with backrests. It’s recommended for use in offices, cars, semi-trucks, classrooms, couches, airplanes, tractors, theatres, stadiums, and anywhere else people sit.
