Excite Medical announces Christian Apfel, MD, as acting medical director

Chiropractic Economics Staff August 28, 2012

August 28, 2012 — Christian Apfel, MD, PhD, of the University of California has agreed to accept the position as acting medical director of Excite Medical to continue the DRX9000 research.

Apfel is a nationally and internationally recognized Key Opinion Leader with more than 75 peer reviewed publications in top journals, including The New England Journal of Medicine.

Apfel is best suited to continue the DRX9000 research due to his expertise in the design and conduct of large randomized controlled multicenter trials, and in particular due to his experience with and research on DRX9000 as published in the Journal of Medicine 2008 and in BMC Musculoskeletal Disorder 2010.
