Chiropractic neurology featured on ‘Nightline’

Chiropractic Economics Staff August 28, 2012

August 28, 2012 — Ted Carrick, DC, PhD, president of ACA’s Council on Neurology was recently featured on “Nightline” for his work with traumatic brain injury patients in the specialty of chiropractic neurology.

He said his treatment involves re-activating neural pathways in the brain — a process made possible by neuroplasticity — by stimulating other parts of the body. Carrick pioneered several of the methods used by chiropractic neurologists, in part by combining treatments that already exist, as well as developing new treatments. He also played a leading role in helping NHL All-Star Sidney Crosby recover from a season ending concussion he suffered two-years-ago.
