Chiro QuickCharts customers receive incentive payment

March 17, 2012 — Midwest Software, developer of Chiro QuickCharts certified EHR software announces that multiple customers have received the full government incentive payment after applying for the ARRA incentive. 

The announcement comes after Drs. Nancy Budish of Wisconsin, Ray Nannis of Texas, William Brink of Maine, Brian Buelt of Illinois and Tom Ayers of North Carolina each confirmed receiving the maximum payment of $18,000.

The payments come from the government’s stimulus incentive American Recovery and Reinvestment ACT (ARRA) of 2009 program, which makes these payments to Medicare providers and practices who demonstrate that they are using a “Complete Certified” EHR software in a meaningful way.

Chiro QuickCharts was awarded “Complete EHR Certification” May 5, 2011 and since then the staff has provided their customers with training for utilizing their software for meaningful use and assisted them with applying for government incentive payments at no additional cost.

Owner Alex Niswander says “We were unsure of what the future would bring when the stimulus program was created, however we had hopes that the program would be a good thing overall in promoting the move from paper to e-charts.”

Niswander continues: “We were very optimistic, yet cautious by not promising to become certified, or that doctors would be assured of receiving the incentive payments. No one has a crystal ball to see the future and we simply wouldn’t promise something out of our control. In the end, our customers have been very pleased with our commitment to helping them attain compliance.
