Northeast College SACA Club named Chapter of the Year

Northeast College of Health Sciences’ Student American Chiropractic Association (SACA) chapter has been named SACA Chapter of the Year for 2026.

The honor follows a successful advocacy visit to Washington, D.C., where Northeast students traveled in January to attend the ACA Engage 2026 conference, which featured continuing education programming and national advocacy initiatives, a press release noted. During the trip, students met with members of Congress and staff, conducting more than two dozen meetings to advocate for the Chiropractic Medicare Coverage Modernization Act (H.R. 539/S.106).

The SACA Chapter of the Year Award is presented annually to the chapter that best demonstrates extraordinary teamwork, collaboration and commitment to the mission, vision and values of the American Chiropractic Association. Northeast’s chapter was recognized as a positive, visible force at the national and campus levels.

In addition to the chapter honor, several members of the Northeast community received national recognition. Current DC student Hannah Brule was elected SACA National Legislative Chair, Northeast alumna Katy Kennedy, DC, received the ACA Next-Gen Award for service as a new practitioner and alumna Caitlin Simpson, DC, was honored with the Flynn-Lynch Memorial Award for Excellence in Leadership, recognizing ACA House of Delegates members with fewer than five years of service.

“We are proud of the continued leadership demonstrated by our students and alumni,” said William Lauretti, DC, Northeast professor and SACA faculty advisor. “This recognition reflects a culture of engagement, advocacy and service that has long defined Northeast College.”
