Texas Chiropractic College Alumni and Faculty Prepare to Treat Athletes at The World Games 2022

Chiropractic Economics Staff July 8, 2022

Texas Chiropractic College faculty member, Todd Riddle, along with TCC Alumni Dr. Amber DePasquele Gregory and Dr. Shea Stark have been chosen by the International Federation of Sports Chiropractic (FICS) to treat athletes at the 2022 World Games that will take place in Birmingham, Alabama, from July 7-17, 2022.

Riddle owns Coastal Performance Chiropractic in Seabrook, Texas, and is faculty at TCC. Riddle will be tasked with providing sports chiropractic support at various venues and sporting competitions over the span of The World Games. With experience working at similar high-level events, Riddle says he is excited to serve athletes at the world-class level again.

“It’s a tremendous honor to be invited to serve in a delegation with some of the top sports chiropractors in the world. I know that the athletes will be in great hands with the group of doctors that have been selected!”

Gregory owns the sports chiropractic clinic, Dawn Health & Wellness, located in Spring, Texas. She treats athletes of all levels and aims to provide care to get them back into their sport and what they love to do.

“I am very excited to be a part of this dream team of chiropractors at The World Games 2022,” said Gregory. Although this is her first World Games, Gregory has been part of the team of medical providers at several events, including the FIVB Las Vegas Open in 2018, the National Collegiate Taekwondo Championships in 2019, and the ITTF World Table Tennis Championship Finals in 2021.

Owner of Stark Chiropractic and Sports, Stark was chosen for The World Games after many years working with ACA Sports Council and FICS. She is the U.S. representative to FICS and sits on the executive board of the National Sports Council as well as the International Sports organization.

“I feel humbled and very grateful. This is a huge opportunity not just for me as a chiropractor but for chiropractic as a profession, specifically sports chiropractic,” Stark said.

FICS has provided a delegation of sports chiropractors to The World Games for decades. This year, 47 sports chiropractors, 4 chiropractic students and 2 admin. representing Australia, Spain, Canada, France, Denmark, Germany, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States will participate.
