Magazine publishing is a rough-and-tumble industry.
The publications that are succeeding are largely those that don’t compete with the Internet. If you need proof of this, think how long it’s been since you used the Yellow Pages.
As a doctor of chiropractic, you are also in a market niche with a unique product offered by no one else: the adjustment. Even so, you have to put effort into making your practice visible and easily findable.
In this issue of our annual Buyers Guide, we’ve assembled the complete, definitive list of companies, schools, products, services, and consultants that serve the chiropractic profession. You could search for these on the Internet, but unless you were lucky, you probably wouldn’t locate them all.
Moreover, we’ve organized this information in three ways for your convenience. First, we’ve grouped them into 19 categories (and some companies are listed in multiple sections). Second, you’ll find them arranged alphabetically—making it easy to find a company by name, even if you’ve forgotten it and only recall that it starts, for example, with the letter B. And third, each section contains a matrix listing that allows you to compare companies with one another, or search for businesses that contain the product or service you need.
This level of organization goes well beyond what an Internet search can deliver, and the net result is something akin to the world’s largest trade show. We recommend that you explore freely, but also perform due diligence. If you’re considering doing business with a company, investigate them online, and compare them to similar firms, just as you do with any other purchasing decision you make for your practice.
Keep this issue on hand for 2016, and when you need to go shopping, start here first. This will save you time, which is the most valuable commodity of all.
