2 CMCC faculty members have received top professional honors

Chiropractic Economics December 10, 2011

December 10, 2011 — Congratulations to Drs. Jay Triano and Marion McGregor, faculty members at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in North York. Both were recognized at the Ontario Chiropractic Association’s 2011 Awards Ceremony, held November 26.

The annual awards honor members whose contributions to the profession or their community reflect the highest standard of professional excellence or an exemplary dedication to service.

Triano is dean of graduate education and research programs at CMCC and was recognized as OCA’s Chiropractor of the Year. Chiropractor of the Year is the OCA’s most prestigious award and is presented annually to honor outstanding contribution (given selflessly over time) and personal sacrifice for the advancement of the profession. Recipients are nominated by their peers and recognized as “the giants of our profession.”

McGregor is CMCC’s director of education, year II, and received the Professional Services Award for Research. The Professional Services Awards are presented in recognition of a member’s meritorious service to the profession. In the area of Research this is accomplished by advancing the understanding of chiropractic through study, research or scientific enquiry.

“Both Drs. Triano and McGregor have made notable contributions to chiropractic,” says CMCC President Dr. Jean Moss. “It’s always rewarding to work with individuals who are making a difference to the profession. I think we will be recognizing their individual achievements for a long time to come.”
