Course Description:
Exercise is vital for all ages to improve health, fitness and functionality. Athletes and non-athletes exercise to live healthier, fitter, more functional lives. Unfortunately, many individuals suffer injuries from exercise. This two-hour class covers common exercise related injuries. The mechanism of how and why these injuries occur is discussed. Anatomy and physiology of the injured areas are presented. Techniques of evaluation and diagnosis are covered. In-office chiropractic treatment techniques, patient education and rehabilitation tools are emphasized.
Course Outline:

1) Detailed description of anatomy and physiology of injured areas.
2) Diagnostic tools to increase knowledge of exercise related injuries.
3) Clinical chiropractic applications to help prevent and rehab overuse and traumatic injuries.

4) Patient education strategies for prevention and rehabilitation of exercise induced injuries.
