Course Description: Whiplash and whiplash associated disorder is often considered to be a post-traumatic consideration. Recent literature has shed light on the evolution of whiplash towards being a more central neurologic than peripheral traumatic pathology. Spinal dyssynergia provides a new paradigm for therapy directed towards dysfunctional neuromotor control

  1. Review of Whiplash
  2. Current prevalence of whiplash associated disorder and pain
  3. Current literature on whiplash evolution
  4. Evidence for central neuromotor control disorder
  5. Emerging evidence for clinical diagnosis and management

Learning Objectives:

  2. Distinguish between peripheral and central correlates for whiplash
  3. Analyze new insights into clinical management
  4. Revise patient outcomes

Dr. Michael W. Hall is a 1990 graduate with honors from Parker College of Chiropractic. He began clinical practice immediately after graduation while also entering post-graduate programs in clinical neurology and orthopedics. He received his diplomate in clinical neurology from the American Board of Chiropractic Neurology in 1993. He was later awarded a fellow in clinical neurology by the International Board of Chiropractic Neurology. For the past three decades Dr. Hall has entertained and educated thousands with enthusiastic passion for chiropractic and clinical neurology. It is his vision that all peoples may experience the healing art of chiropractic.
