Description: Racquet sports are enjoyed by millions around the globe. Men and women of all ages participate in racquet sports including tennis, racquetball, squash, badminton, paddle ball, pickleball and ping pong (table tennis.) The repetitive nation and unsymmetrical movements of racquet sports create a high potential for injuries. This two-hour course describes injuries in racquet sports and the mechanism of how and why these injuries occur. Anatomy and physiology are described in detail. Consultation, examination and diagnostic procedures are discussed. In-office chiropractic treatment techniques, patient education and rehabilitation tools are covered.

Course Outline:
1) Detailed description of anatomy and physiology.
2) Diagnostic tools to increase knowledge of athletic injuries.
3)Clinical chiropractic applications to treat athletes and help them return to sport.4) Patient education strategies for prevention and rehabilitation of racquet sports injuries.

Learning Objectives:
1) Enhance knowledge of functional anatomy and physiology.
2) Heighten understanding of mechanism of racquet sports injuries.
3)Improve in-office diagnostic and chiropractic treatment skills.4) Application of strategies to prevent occurrence, prevent recurrence and rehabilitate injuries.
