Course Description: Golf is enjoyed by millions of athletes of both genders and all ages. Golfers repeatedly stress their body in an unsymmetrical manner making the potential for injury extremely high. This two hour class covers the most common upper body injuries sustained in golf and the mechanism of how and why these injuries occur. Anatomy and physiology is described. Methods of a thorough evaluation and diagnosis are discussed. In-office chiropractic treatment procedures and patient education techniques are thoroughly described.

Course Outline:
1) Detailed description of anatomy and physiology.
2) Diagnostic tools to increase knowledge of athletic injuries.

3) Patient education strategies for prevention and rehabilitation of upper body golf injuries.
4) Chiropractic clinical applications to properly treat athletes and assist them in return to sport.

Learning Objectives:
1) Improve knowledge of functional anatomy and physiology.
2) Enhance understanding in the prevention and rehabilitation of upper body golf injuries.
3) Expand in-office diagnosis and chiropractic treatment skills.
4) Application of strategies in return to sport and recurrence prevention.
