Parker University HPC director awarded for new article

Andy Galpin, PhD, CSCS*D, NSCA-CPT*D, FNSCA, Parker University professor and director of Parker’s Human Performance Center, had work published in Experimental Physiology, on behalf of The Physiological Society, that was among the top 10 most-cited papers published by the journal in 2023.

Galpin’s article, “Gut check: Unveiling the influence of acute exercise on the gut microbiota,” was recognized as a “Top Cited Article,” noted a Parker University press release.

In August of 2024Parker University welcomed Galpin as the new executive director of its Human Performance Center (Center of Excellence). A renowned expert in human performance with more than 20 years of experience in the field, Galpin leads the center’s mission to revolutionize how athletes and individuals achieve physical and mental peaks. In his role at Parker University, Galpin oversees cutting-edge initiatives, including advanced research, specialized training programs and community outreach.
