Northwestern Health Sciences University holds commencement ceremonies Dec. 15

December 16, 2012 — Northwestern presented diplomas and certificates to 33 students in commencement ceremonies this weekend.

A ceremony for the College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine was held at 2 p.m. Dec. 15. Northwestern presented Master of Acupuncture degrees to four students, and Master of Oriental Medicine degrees to 12 students.

Graduating student Maria Johnson gave the student greeting, and the commencement address was delivered by Honora Lee Wolfe, Dipl.Ac. Wolfe was the founding director at the Boulder College of Massage Therapy in 1976; has taught at many national and regional acupuncture colleges and conferences; and has written several books on Chinese and Western medicine.

The School of Massage Therapy graduation ceremony took place at 6 p.m. Dec. 15. Northwestern presented Associate of Applied Science degrees to 14 students, and the Certificate of Professional Massage Therapist to three students. Michele Renee, DC, assistant professor at Northwestern, gave the commencement address; and Amy Morrison, a member of the graduating class, presented the student greeting.
