Northwestern Health Sciences University gives $16,250 in scholarships

February 25, 2009 — Northwestern Health Sciences University awarded $16,250 in scholarships to 27 chiropractic students on Feb. 5, 2009. The scholarships were awarded during a luncheon at the Chiropractic Homecoming and Winter Gathering event, which students, alumni, employees, friends and family members were invited to attend.

The 13 scholarships were distributed as follows:

• NWCC Alumni Association Scholarships for $500 each were awarded to Noel Barrick, Linda Hanson, Lori Jokinen, Katy Lundell, Kristen Mitteness, and Lynn Winkel;

• Dr. John F. Allenburg Scholarship for $500 was awarded to Linda Hanson;

• Dr. Alfred and Ann Traina Scholarship for $500 was awarded to Linda Hanson;

• Dr. Chad and Jodi Henriksen Scholarship for $500 was awarded to Kristen Mitteness;

• Dr. Jeffrey Jones Memorial Scholarships for $500 each were awarded to Lachlan Fraser and Mark Zaharia;

• Dr. John and Rita McKiernan Scholarship for $1,000 was awarded to Marsha Japp;

• Dr. O. A. Weum Memorial Scholarship for $500 was awarded to Matthew Tubbs;

• Dr. Vincent A. Pankratz Memorial Scholarship for $500 was awarded to Regina Brott;

• Hoff-Jeffers Family Scholarship Fund for $250 was awarded to Andrea Albertson;

• Performance Health/BioFreeze Scholarships for $1,000 were awarded to Regina Brott, Lorraine Hurst, Letitia Russell, Michael Uker, and Robert Vaughn;

• Stewards of Chiropractic Scholarships for $500 each were awarded to Regina Brott, Lorraine Hurst, Robert Vaughn, and Mark Zaharia;

• The Robert and Joey Crotteau Memorial Scholarships for $500 each were awarded to Sara Hillesheim and Kurt Kramer; and

• Tjornhom Family Scholarship for $500 was awarded to Kurt Kramer.
