On October 10, with energy, heart and a standing ovation, as bagpipes played, Life Chiropractic College West officially welcomed Peter J. Kevorkian, DC, as the fourth President of the College.
Held on campus in Hayward, California, the Investiture brought together students, faculty, staff, alumni, global chiropractic leaders, elected officials and cherished guests. From the Board of Regents Meet & Greet to the closing recessional, the event overflowed with love, inspiration and a renewed sense of purpose.
“An investiture is more than tradition—it’s a declaration of vision,” said Jimmy Nanda, DC, Chairman of the Life West Board of Regents. “And Dr. Peter brings clarity, compassion and an unshakable commitment to service to this role.”
The ceremony featured reflections and greetings from chiropractic leaders around the globe, including the presidents of Life University, Texas Chiropractic College, Sherman College of Chiropractic and the New Zealand College of Chiropractic, as well as esteemed organizational heads from the International Chiropractors Association, Council on Chiropractic Education, International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and more.

For more than 40 years, Kevorkian has inspired students, led with vision and modeled excellence in chiropractic care. Together with his wife and chiropractic partner, Patti Giuliano, DC, he built one of the most respected family chiropractic practices in the world.
Now, as President of Life West, he brings that same energy and service-driven philosophy to the institution’s next chapter.
“We are the custodians of a sacred trust,” he said during his inaugural address, “to keep chiropractic grounded in its philosophy while evolving its delivery and reach. Life West is ready to lead that charge—and I’m honored to walk alongside each of you.”
Every part of the Investiture experience reflected Life West’s core values—to give, to do, to love, to serve—and the College’s enduring commitment to transforming humanity through chiropractic. With joy, gratitude and unity, Life West marked this historic milestone.
