Former NBCE President appointed to Sister Cities Commission

August 8, 2012 — City of Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton has appointed Dr. James J. Badge to the Phoenix Sister Cities Commission (PSCC). At the group’s inaugural meeting, the PSCC elected Badge to serve on the executive committee as treasurer and as chair of the finance committee.

Phoenix is the sixth largest city in the U.S. Through the Sister Cities program, Phoenix will promote their culture and cultural diversity as well as encourage contacts between schools, business professional societies, trade, and commerce. Sister Cities of Phoenix include Grenoble, France; Prague, Czech Republic; Calgary, Canada; Catania, Italy, Ramat-Gan, Israel; Hermosillo, Mexico, Taipei, Taiwan; Chengdu, China; and Ennis, Ireland.

Badge was first elected to serve as District IV Director of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) in 1987, a position he held until 2005. During his tenure, Badge also served on the executive committee from 1999-2006 in the capacity of secretary (1999), vice president (2000-2004) and president (2005-2006). He continues to serve on various test committees at the NBCE.
