Parker University grants Fabrizio Mancini, DC, president emeritus status

February 14, 2013 — Parker University recently presented Fabrizio Mancini, DC, with the president emeritus award, the highest honor bestowed upon a former university president.

The award was presented on Jan. 9, 2013 at Parker Seminars Las Vegas from the main stage immediately following Mancini’s opening session presentation.

Mancini retired from Parker University in October 2012 to pursue his dreams of spreading the chiropractic health and wellness message to public audiences. Mancini has already been successful in this journey, including appearances on popular daytime talk shows like Dr. Phil and The Doctors in 2012.

Mancini has been a driving force in the growth and success of Parker University and Parker Seminars and this recognition was a way for the Parker community to show their appreciation for his thirteen years of service.

“The board of trustees wanted to honor Mancini with an award worthy of his legacy,” said Dr. Michael Flynn, vice-chair of the Parker University Board of Trustees. “It’s our way of saying thank you, and recognizing his significant impact on Parker.”

After graduating from Parker in 1990, Mancini opened a successful practice in Dallas and actively served patients for six years. After Parker passed away, and a short tenure of Dr. Karl Parker as president, the board of trustees asked Mancini to consider serving as president. Mancini accepted and immediately began to stabilize the institution.

“When I started as president, Parker was in a very bad place,” said Mancini in a recent interview. “The faculty, staff, and board of trustees were all concerned about the future of the institution. Some believed it might be closed and students were seeking to transfer.”

Mancini immediately went to work on the culture and morale by providing the leadership the institution desperately needed. Over time, confidence was established and Parker began to thrive. While impossible to completely capture the total impact, the following is a sampling of just a few of his achievements during his tenure with Parker.
