Life West dean elected to board position at the CCE

January 9, 2009 — Joseph Ferguson, III, MS, DC, CCSP, PES, dean of Life Chiropractic College West, has been elected to serve on the board of directors for the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE) starting March 2009. The election was announced in a letter from Sandra Mooney, president of CCE.

Ferguson said, “I feel privileged at the opportunity to work with the CCE. This agency has established and maintained the highest standard for chiropractic education, and I am honored to be a part of that process.”

A 1990 graduate of Life West, Ferguson became the college’s chief academic officer in 2006, after serving on the faculty for three years in a number of roles including chairman of the department of associated clinical sciences. Ferguson practiced privately for ten years in the San Francisco East Bay before teaching at a university medical school in Colombia, South America, from 2000 – 2003. He has published nearly 100 articles on nutrition and sports rehabilitation.
