Keas Unveils New Team & Enterprise Platform

New CEO & Leadership Capture Market Share as Demand for Enterprise Wellness Skyrockets

SAN FRANCISCO, CA–(Marketwire – Feb 5, 2013) – Keas, the market leader in corporate wellness, today announced a new CEO, leadership team and Wellness Platform. 2012 caps a year of record growth for the company.

Fueled by accelerating demand for corporate wellness programs, Keas more than doubled its customer base in the fourth quarter of 2012 and increased registered users by 282 percent in 2012. New enterprise customers include: The Cheesecake Factory, Reed Elsevier, Mountain State Health Alliance, BAE Systems, Salesforce.com, New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company, Hilti, SuccessFactors, Paragon Casino Resort, Lifetime Brands, Pella Corporation and British Telecom.

While lack of employee engagement cost U.S companies $370 billion in lost productivity in 2012, Keas customers are bucking the trend, benefiting from a wellness program that impacts employee engagement and morale, through healthy and committed teams.

“One of our company values is commitment to the health, wellness, and safety of all. We’ve tried other wellness challenges in the past, but needed an everyday engagement solution that was cost-effective, easy to implement, flexible to support a wide variety of individual goals, and integrated health education in a fun way — Keas is the best in their category. Using Keas, we’ve increased employee participation three-fold from our previous corporate wellness solution,” says Tricia Van Zee, Director of Total Rewards and HR Shared Services at Pella Corporation. ”As our employees improve their health with Keas, they are also having fun and are becoming more connected with team members across the company. This energy and sense of teamwork has spread across all functions and locations of our organization.”

The new executive team at Keas is led by CEO Josh Stevens. Stevens joins founder and Chief Technology Officer Adam Bosworth in accelerating Keas growth. ”Enterprises have long realized wellness programs are key to top line productivity and bottom line savings, but have been searching for a winning formula that delivers meaningful, sustained engagement,” said Stevens. “Adam and his team have cracked the code with a product and platform architecture that drives employee engagement, improves productivity, and reduces costs. We now have the right solution and team in place to deliver on the promise and potential of corporate wellness.”

Stevens brings extensive experience driving customer growth, sales acceleration, and product engagement in leadership roles at public and private companies, including YouSendIt, TicketsNow (acquired by Ticketmaster) AOL, and Time Warner. Prior to Keas, Stevens served as vice president, Ecommerce at YouSendIt where he was responsible for driving growth acceleration of top line bookings and revenues.

“Josh is that rare leader who combines unconventional thinking with business rigor and meaningful experience,” said Bosworth. “His background in both B2B and B2C markets makes Josh uniquely suited to capitalize on the consumerization of health and wellness. At Keas, Josh has built a leadership team that has both consumer and enterprise DNA, exactly the approach we need to capture and sustain market leadership.”

“Adam has built products and technology platforms that have massively grown new and disrupted old markets for 30 years — from Quattro, Ajax, Microsoft Access, Internet Explorer 4 and XML, to building and managing Google Docs and Google Health,” said Stevens. “His genius, technical leadership, and product vision paired with our new leadership team and comprehensive 360/365 platform will transform health, wellness and overall employee engagement in the U.S.”

Keas is introducing the Keas 360/365 Platform, a new product ecosystem and enterprise platform that delivers true employee engagement around the clock and throughout the year. The platform now connects employees wherever they are with engaging activities, relevant content, and communities that spark and sustain healthy and engaged lifestyles. By turning employee wellness into a social, fun and addictive application, Keas is improving health for more than 700,000 corporate employees nationwide. The Keas 360/365 Platform includes:
