February 17, 2009 — The Cleveland Chiropractic College-Kansas City (CCCKC) campus recently welcomed guests in January who may someday be the future of the chiropractic profession. More than 20 students from Central High School took part in the Chiropractic Student In-Training program (CSI: Kansas City). Initiated in 2006, CSI: Kansas City is the brainchild of Aleta Anthony, assistant director of admissions. It was developed as a mentoring program for high school students to learn more about a career in chiropractic.
Like the characters on the television show with a similar name, sometimes we have to take a closer look to make an informed decision. That’s exactly what the CSI: Kansas City program is designed to do. Anthony said the program lets students explore a profession they may have overlooked when considering their future.
During their visit, the students were exposed to a wide range of experiences. They spent time in the classroom and in the anatomy lab, learned about chiropractic adjustments and chiropractic’s role in long-term health and wellness.
