ACA House of Delegates meeting to feature primary care clinical symposium

July 6, 2011 — The American Chiropractic Association (ACA), the Oregon Chiropractic Association (OCA), and the University of Western States (UWS) are teaming together to present the Primary Care Clinical Symposium during ACA’s annual House of Delegates (HOD) meeting Sept. 14-18 in Portland, Ore.

The conference — co-hosted by a chiropractic college, a state association, and a national association — is the first of its kind for the chiropractic profession.

By joining forces, ACA, OCA, and UWS will deliver a thought-provoking, educational conference experience that will provide attendees with focused, clinical sessions — and help them meet CEU license requirements. The symposium will feature education tracks and breakout sessions not found together at any other conference.

The Primary Care Clinical Symposium will take place following the ACA business meetings, during the last two days of the conference (Sept. 17-18). Participants from a number of states can earn eight continuing education units (CEUs) while learning from leaders in the chiropractic profession.

Featured speakers and topics include:

“This type of collaborative effort within the chiropractic profession is exactly what we need to reach our full potential,” said ACA President Rick McMichael, DC. “This level of teamwork will create a unique meeting with important offerings to attendees from all facets of the profession. We welcome doctors, students, staff members and chiropractic supporters to join us in Portland for this special event.”
