The Affordable Care Act's 11th hour: what does it mean for your practice?

Chiropractic Economics December 18, 2013

LogoACA_WebDecember 18, 2013 — Many health insurance carriers are deciding that they will allow customers to stay on their lapsed health insurance next year rather than requiring them to purchase PPACA-compliant qualified health plans.

This extension means that a new type of exempted policy will be created that is separate from previously grandfathered policies. Some patients may receive last minute policy changes and insurance cards in the month of December.

It is critical to have a solid benefits verification process within your practice. Take a moment to review your clinic’s verification of benefits and assignment of benefits forms. Also visit acatoday.org/resourcecenter for additional resources and information.
