Texas Chiropractic College to celebrate NCHM with open house, health screenings

Chiropractic Economics October 12, 2010

October 12, 2010 — The Moody Health Center (MHC), located on the Texas Chiropractic College campus, is celebrating National Chiropractic Health Month (NCHM) by offering free health screenings every Friday throughout the entire month of October.

To further promote National Chiropractic Health Month (NCHM), MHC will hold a free open house, Wednesday, Oct. 27 from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., to educate the general public on chiropractic health and this year’s theme “Why weight, get healthy!” On the schedule are informational health talks, health screens, student-led tours of the facility, healthy refreshments, giveaways, and much more.

Also in conjunction with the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center, MHC is holding a blood drive during the open house. To sign up for the blood drive you may call Dr. Victor Benavides at 281-998-6045 or call 713-791-6326 at the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center and give sponsor code #P179.

The clinic invites the public to come, bring their families and learn about chiropractic health. MHC is open to the public Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for chiropractic, family medicine, injury care, nutritional consultations, acupuncture, rehabilitation, physical medicine and radiology services. For more information on the clinic or the open house call 281-487-1501.
