August 8, 2012 — More than 750 people visited Standard Process Inc. during the whole food supplement manufacturer’s first Community Open House July 31. The event celebrated the company’s 25th anniversary as a member of the Palmyra community.
Palmyra residents and guests from as far away as Horicon, Wis., received a 90-minute behind-the-scenes tour of Standard Process’ corporate headquarters. After viewing how the company’s whole food supplements (vitamins) are made, a coach bus shuttled guests over to Standard Process’ 450 acres of certified organic farmland. Following the farm tour, guests visited with key Standard Process personnel and enjoyed refreshments in the company’s Welcome Center.
“It was exciting for us to be able to open our doors and show everyone how Standard Process supplements are made and how important quality is to us,” said company president, Charles C. DuBois. “The turnout was amazing, and I personally enjoyed having the opportunity to meet many of our guests.”
Standard Process vowed to match all donations collected during the open house for the Palmyra Food Pantry. The company will be making a $500 donation to the food pantry.
