July 22, 2013 — Standard Process Inc. was recently honored for excellence in public relations during the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Southeastern Wisconsin Chapter’s annual Paragon Award ceremony.
The team received a 2013 Award of Excellence for its Community Open House, a public relations campaign to increase community awareness about Standard Process. Members of Standard Process’ Communications and Events teams accepted the award.
“Receiving the Paragon Award of Excellence is a huge honor for us,” said Tammi Geiger, Standard Process director of marketing. “It recognizes our communications team’s strategic and creative efforts to host an informative and enjoyable community event.”
Accredited public relations specialists from around the country judged this year’s entries. Judges praised Standard Process’ winning nomination for “the pre-event research and solid execution of the Community Open House.”
Standard Process opened its doors to the Palmyra community on July 31, 2012, in an effort to foster greater awareness in the community about what the whole foods supplement manufacturer does and the impact it has had in Palmyra for the past 25 years. During the event, more than 750 guests visited Standard Process, taking a behind-the-scenes look at the company’s headquarters, manufacturing plant and certified organic farm, and learning more about the ways Standard Process contributes to its local community.
The Paragon Awards were created to encourage Public Relations Society of America members in Southeastern Wisconsin to strive for public relations excellence. The awards recognize outstanding work in the area of public relations, honor creative and strategic excellence, and encourage a higher level of performance among public relations professionals.
