Scrip Companies announces expansion of van deliveries in Chicago area

July 8, 2014 — Scrip Companies, a global distributor of equipment and supplies serving complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) professionals, home health providers, and consumers, has announced that it is expanding the reach of its van delivery service to customers in the Chicago area, including chiropractors, physical therapists, massage therapists, and spa owners.

Taking an old fashioned idea, Scrip will offer a growing list of customers the chance to receive orders delivered directly to their door on a regular schedule — with no added delivery costs — and purchase last-minute items right off the truck.

“This is an exciting concept built upon the idea that everything old is new again — with a digital-age twist,” said Kray Kibler, chief operating officer and chief financial officer of Scrip Companies. “We’re urging rehabilitation and wellness professionals to sign up to be on our regular van delivery route to experience a new level of personalized customer service.”

Expanding service to Chicago comes in response to rising demand for CAM in the healthcare reform era, and increased need for CAM professionals to stay on top of pricing — and on schedule — with free delivery of supplies on a four-week repeating cycle. Scrip delivery personnel contact participating customers each month to take a restocking order, make the delivery and follow up to ensure satisfaction.

“Advantage Medical, one of Scrip’s family companies, has offered van deliveries to parts of Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio for 20 years in response to fuel prices and costly shipping charges — and it’s been highly successful,” Jeff Worrell, vice president, Physical Therapy, Advantage Medical, added. “During the delivery, customers can learn about new products and special offers, make last-minute purchases, and experience what has been missing in today’s business-to-business world: human interaction.”
