October 24, 2013 — Chiropractic and Manual Therapies recently published research that analyzes what DCs should and shouldn’t do to determine a site for manipulation.
Researchers evaluated more than 200 articles and research papers related to the topic, and found that the most convincing evidence indicated that provoking pain at a specific spinal segmental level or region was the most successful. There was also substantial evidence supporting the use, with limitations, of static and motion palpation, and measures of leg length inequality.
