Program identifies nutrition as key in preventing disease

Chiropractic Economics February 19, 2009

Sunshine Coast, Queensland Australia February 17, 2009 — Nutrient rich foods have long been associated with cancer treatment, with mounting evidence about the effect these foods have on disease prevention and reversal. Food Matters, an online nutritional information website, has this month launched its Cancer Learning Program.

The Food Matters Cancer Program brings together for the first time, several world leading authorities on nutrition who claim that the right kind of foods, supplements and detoxification can be used to treat chronic illnesses as fatal as terminally diagnosed cancer. The online learning program has been developed to educate the public on how nutrition plays a vital role in boosting the body’s defense against cancer and other illnesses.

One of the teachers in the program, Andrew Saul PhD. claims that building up the immune system with nutrition and vitamins will help the body to ?ght disease. His studies have shown that when patients combined conventional therapy (chemotherapy, radiation and surgery) with nutrition and high doses of nutrients, these patients on chemotherapy did not lose their appetite, and experienced minimal or no hair loss.

Dr Charlotte Gerson, daughter of Dr Max Gerson and founder of the Gerson Institute joins Saul and four other nutrition experts on the Food Matters Cancer Learning Program. “The natural and powerful defenses in a normal human body make cancer impossible; a normal healthy body will not develop cancer with a diet of healthy, rich organic food”, said Gerson.. She claims that chronic diseases are the result of nutrient deficiency, and highlights the mineral-depleted state of the soils used to grow crops as the source of this deficiency.
