PostureScreen Mobile app gets attention in iTunes App Store

Chiropractic Economics July 26, 2011

July 26, 2011 — Since its introduction into the iTunes App Store in late December 2010, PostureScreen Mobile application has drawn quite a lot of attention from healthcare practitioners and therapists worldwide, and now recently from Apple.

PostureScreenDue to this high exposure, it’s said that Apple has placed it consistently in the top 10 apps under the “Healthcare & Fitness” category for “What’s Hot” in the App Store.

Dr. Joe Ferrantelli inventor of PostureScreen Mobile and CEO of PostureCo Inc. noted, “This is truly a blessing to see my idea spread virally through internet and iTunes, getting Apple’s recognition. We now have PostureScreen Mobile deployed in every country in the world that iTunes is available — over 7000 downloads internationally which truly amazes me.”

The app is marketed as the first ever mobile posture screening software that can be used on the iPod Touch, iPhone 3GS/4, as well as the iPad. It features patent-pending technology designed to create reliable screenings without the use of a tripod with camera or even a dedicated computer. It aims to give you the ability to send “on the fly” well-written PostureScreen postural assessments as a PDF document to the perspective patient via email, or print wirelessly to e-print certified printers.

Healthcare practitioners, therapists, fitness professionals, and their staff can now go out into the community to perform spinal/postural screenings anywhere, anytime without the need of lugging around heavy equipment. Within the office, providers should be able to do their screenings within 30 seconds (which used to take five to 10 minutes).

PostureCo believes that generating regular screenings in your office  pre/post postural adjustments and at reevaluations leads to better patient retention through more objective documentation.

With the purchase of the app, users will receive five free postural assessments, after which additional assessments can be purchased for as little as 10 cents each.

In addition, upgrade modules can be purchased ranging from customized report template editing, to educational videos, to comparison report modules all managed through the doctor’s iTunes account.
