Palmer College of Chiropractic announces homecoming lineup, events

June 18, 2012 — Palmer College of Chiropractic will host Homecoming 2012 on its Davenport, Iowa, campus Aug. 9-11. The program features a slate of new continuing education speakers as well as familiar faces leading sessions, along with Palmer’s traditional social and networking events.

As always, the event includes a vendor expo featuring the latest chiropractic products and services. Up to 20 continuing education credits are available for chiropractors attending this year’s event, depending on the state in which they practice and that state’s licensure requirements.

Keynote presentations at this year’s Davenport Campus Homecoming include: “Increasing Cultural Authority through Palmer’s Identity,” with Palmer’s Chancellor Dennis Marchiori, DC, PhD; “Chronicles of the Elite,” with Howard Wasdin, DC, best-selling co-author of his memoir, “SEAL Team Six”; and “Reclaiming the Chiropractic Dream,” with Frank Sovinsky, DC.

Some event highlights include: The B.J. and Mabel Palmer Residence Courtyard Ribbon-cutting at 4:30 p.m. followed by the talent show and courtyard party Aug. 8; the Palmer Center for Business Development’s Career Fair from 1:30-4:30 p.m., the10-Year Reunion Barbecue from 6-8 p.m. and the 25-Year Reunion Dinner from 7-10 p.m. Aug. 9; the 50-Year Reunion Brunch at 9 a.m., the Alumni Luncheon at noon and the Palmer Student Alumni Foundation (PSAF) Student/Alumni Bowling Night at 7 p.m. Aug. 10; as well as the President’s Club Reception at 6 p.m. and the Saturday Night Festival at 7 p.m. Aug. 11.
