May 19, 2010 — Northwestern Health Sciences University hosted 175 professionals and educators from around the world at the 2010 Oncology Massage Healing Summit April 30–May 1, 2010.
In addition to speakers, the conference featured a presentation of the award-winning play “Jonna’s Body, please hold” by three-time cancer survivor Jonna Tomases.
The summit was co-sponsored by S4OM, the Society for Oncology Massage, which will have a conference every three years. The 2013 Oncology Massage Healing Summit will be hosted by the MD Anderson Cancer Center at the University of Texas in Houston.
